Last year alone, Ravalli County Credit Union was honored to donate nearly $67,784 to the schools and non-profits below, almost $9,000 of this donation was generously donated by you, our members. Thank you for partnering with us to make our community great!
Ravalli County Credit Union also proudly supported the following charitable organizations:
We encourage our staff to volunteer and support our local community. Many of them volunteer for local organizations such as Ravalli Head Start, Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, Hamilton Downtown Association, and the Bitterroot Humane Association.
Staff volunteered 1,560 hours in 2025!
Historically, Ravalli County Credit Union has selected one graduating High School Senior to receive our $3,000 High School Member Scholarship.
Since 2016, we have awarded $39,000 in scholarships to seniors throughout Ravalli County.
2025 marks the first year we offered a $3,000 scholarship to two graduating seniors! To be eligible, graduating seniors must have been a member with us for at least one year and meet specific criteria set forth by the Scholarship Committee.
Congratulations to all seniors graduating in Ravalli County! We’d like to extend a special Congrats to this year’s High School Member Scholarship recipients, Evan Bennett and Elaina Lewis.
One of our favorite holidays is Thanksgiving and we love collaborating with our members to ensure that people in our community receive a turkey dinner. We buy the turkeys and members donate the “fixins” from shopping lists on our “Giving Tree”.
In 2025, we were able to feed 123 local families!
WINcentive Savings offers prize drawing entries in return for each time you increase your savings balance by $25 (up to 4 entries per month). Prize drawings occur monthly, quarterly and annually – so the more you save, the more chances you have to win! You could even end up winning the grand prize of $5,000!
Ravalli County Credit Union is 1 of 8 Credit Union’s in the State of Montana offering WSA accounts. We also have a monthly in-house $100 drawing specifically for our members.
In 2025, our members won a total of $2,050 – just for saving!
Annually, we tie a local food drive in with our Summer Loan Promotion. Our Hamilton location collects for Haven House and our Florence location collects for Pantry Partners.
With your help, Ravalli County Credit Union donated 437 LBS of food to Haven House & Pantry Partners in 2025.
VITA is a volunteer Income Tax Assistance program that offers free tax preparation and e-filing for people who generally make $67,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers in our community. Ravalli County Credit Union is the only credit union in the state of MT offering this service.
This year, VITA volunteers helped 148 taxpayers. BIG thank you to our volunteers for making this year’s tax season a success!
Our 68th Annual Meeting was held on Thursday, September 18th at the Bitterroot River Inn with 136 members in attendance. Annual reports were given by Jamie Ogden, Board Secretary; Darci Parsons, CEO; and Byron Williams Supervisory Committee Member. Meeting attendees enjoyed dinner provided by Horns, Fins, and Feathers. In total, RCCU gave away $2,250 in cash and prizes. Congratulations to our winners this year.
The Credit Union also had three Board positions on the ballot for the 2025 Board of Directors Election. Congratulations to Sarah Seltzer, Lynn Larson, and Kim Bishop. Sarah was elected for an additional three-year term, Lynn was elected for her first three-year term, and Kim was elected for her first three-year term.
International Credit Union (ICU) Day was October 16 and has been celebrated annually since 1948. It’s a day that we celebrate the credit union movement of People Helping People. Since it’s also domestic violence awareness month, we celebrated by hosting a bake sale to support SAFE, our local women’s shelter.
From lemon bars and cupcakes to cinnamon roll cheesecakes, the day was a sweet success. The bake sale raised $510 and the credit union matched each dollar donated, bringing our total donation to $1,020. BIG thank you to all our amazing members who made this event a success!
